The Office of Proposal Development (OPD) is a service unit, providing comprehensive project management and proposal development services to support the development of large-scale, multidisciplinary proposals to external sponsors and funding agencies.

We work with Illinois PIs, teams, and their units to:

• identify funding opportunities,
• coordinate with multidisciplinary teams,
• connect with relevant university resources,
• develop compelling proposals, with the ultimate goal of securing external funding.

OPD also manages limited submissions opportunities and leads the Research Development Community (RDC) at Illinois.
